The VENOM One-Meter is a direct descendant of the VIPER. They share the same forward sections, but the aft sections return to the circular sections of the LOGIC. This makes the yacht easier to sail at large angles of heel and in puffy conditions. The beam and freeboard have been adjusted to suit the required displacement for a modern U.S. One-Meter. The yacht has been designed to take advantage of the technology developed for the VIPER, and it has a high ballast ratio. While most of the time the yacht will be sailed with the standard 54" luff masthead rig, it has plenty of power to carry a maximum height rig for lighter winds. The kit is virtually identical to the VIPER kit, and utilizes all of its features, including a keel-stepped mast. The entire short kit, less lead, weighs under 9 ounces!

This yacht has proven to be very fast and yet easy to sail. Its acceleration has to be seen to be believed, and it gives the Marbleheads fits most of the time! It placed 1st and 2nd at the 1994 A.C.C.R., right out of the box. Both yachts had only a couple of days sailing before the event! A clear demonstration of our expertise in yacht design.
