Our sails are simply - second to none. We have had excellent success in the one-Design Classes, where often the only difference between yachts is the sails. If you are not using STERNE SAILS, why not? The winners do! All our sails are made from the latest Mylars. We use the best possible material for the wind range and size yacht the sails are designed for. Our current inventory of Mylars include the TRISPI range of 0.6 oz., 0.8 oz., 1.0 oz., 1.3 oz., and 1.7 oz. (woven scrim). As new materials are introduced, we will evaluate them, and use what works best. We do not do "composite" sails as we feel that the different stretch characteristics of the cloth cause the sail to lose its shape faster than those made of a single weight. We can't say it any better than our customers, one of whom wrote recently, "I am very satisfied with my new set of Sterne Sails. My highest compliments to you. These sails have made a fast boat even faster and easier to sail (closer to and faster on the wind, with increased acceleration off the tacks). WOW has a new definition in my dictionary." All our sails are fully panelled, and are Custom made to your specifications. While we do have "stock" sizes for most classes, we do not charge extra to manufacture them to your dimensions. If you require custom design time, that is available at extra cost. In addition to reasonable prices, we offer quick delivery. Sails are usually shipped within 7-10 days of receipt of prepaid order.
