CELEBRATION - International One-Meter

25 years of Supremacy in R/C Yacht Design
All Rolled into One Package!

This yacht combines the fine forward sections of our CHINOOK IOM, modified to produce a full-length waterline, the circular mid-body which is found on all our yachts, and the elliptical aft sections proven so successful on the VIPER series. It incorporates a wider fin and a deeper rudder which have proven to be faster in rough water. The balsa-core deck simplifies construction, and provides a more robust yacht, capable of handling waves and heavy winds with confidence. As with our VIPER and VENOM series, it uses a one piece mast/keel trunk assembly which produces rigidity in this important area. Keel-stepped masts are superior because they are easier to control, easier to tune, hold their tune over a wider range of wind conditions, and their extra stability puts more power into driving the yacht in every puff. The rigs utilize clear anodized, 6005 alloy, aluminum tubing, with a 7/16" OD Mast and 3/8" OD Booms. Available as a Standard of Deluxe Kit (Fin & Rudder installed) or with the Deck and deck fittings installed.

The CELEBRATION is designed to be the best all-around IOM possible, combining the superb light-air performance of the CHINOOK with elements proven to enhance performance in heavy winds and rough water. The fine forward sections, with their curved-vee shape, provide better penetration into the waves, but they have also proven to have superior lift while planing and the excess buoyancy immediately above the waterline decreases the tendency to dive when overpowered downwind. The wider aft sections provide additional stability, and reduce the hull drag during the transition phase to planing, and while planing. Put simply, it is 25 years of collective knowledge, all wrapped up into one superb design.
