Black Sails

SAILS FOR R/C MODELS. In order to obtain maximum efficiency all sails are paneled. A panel sail has from 3-4 panels in the jib to 5-6 panels in the mainsail. This should be borne in mind when ordering sails with more than one color. The camber will vary from light wind sails to sails for medium wind conditions to storm suits used in heavy wind conditions.

TYPES OF SAILS. Obviously there are many types of sails but for the purpose of ordering sails for your R/C model sail boat the sails are made of Mylar sailcloth. The new "Tech-Age'' sailcloth is Mylar and at this moment can produce a very responsive model. The Mylar sailcloth comes in varies types and weights to meet varying wind conditions. For extremely light winds there is Test 505(1/4 mil) or TRISPI 40 and for heavier wind conditions there is TRISPI 50.
