When I was building my new 36/600, I wanted to leave my receiver's antenna wire in the boat. This way there is one less hole in the deck to let water in and one less item above deck to worry about. I then saw some-thing that George B. is doing and I thought was a great idea!
Inside the sailboat's hull, right under the decks beams, was a plastic antenna wire tube. This way the receiver's wire antenna can then be inserted in the tube and out of the way. Not only that, the antenna is up for protection and above the water line for better reception.
This idea has been used by the fly boys in their model airplanes with good results and so should we. The cost is in cents and the weight is nill. Another good idea to use!
